General Questions

About our company, services, and how we work

No'Squito Pest Solutions is a family-owned, owner-operated pest control company based in White Lake, Michigan. We specialize in mosquito control, general pest prevention, and wasp/hornet removal for residential properties throughout Oakland County. Our owner, Ryan, personally handles most service calls and responds to every customer inquiry — so you always know exactly who's treating your yard.

We offer three core services:

Mosquito Control — Barrier spray treatments every 21 days throughout mosquito season, plus larvicide treatment for standing water. Flea & tick add-on available.

General Pest Prevention — Bi-monthly perimeter barrier treatments that protect against spiders, ants, centipedes, wasps, hornets, and other outdoor pests.

Wasp & Hornet Treatment — Professional nest treatment and removal for paper wasps, yellow jackets, bald-faced hornets, and European hornets — including nests in wall voids, eaves, and underground.

In most cases, Ryan, the owner, personally handles your service. That's one of the biggest advantages of working with a locally owned company — you're not getting a random technician every visit. You'll work with the same person who knows your property, your concerns, and your pest history.

Yes! No'Squito Pest Solutions is fully licensed and insured in the state of Michigan. We carry all required credentials for commercial pesticide application and maintain comprehensive liability insurance for your peace of mind.

No contracts — ever. You pay per treatment and can cancel anytime.
We believe in earning your business every single visit. There are no long-term commitments, no cancellation fees, and no pressure. Most of our customers stay with us season after season because of the results — not because they're locked in.

Nope! Since all of our treatments are applied to the exterior of your home and yard, you don't need to be home. We'll notify you before and after each visit, and leave a door hanger with details about what was treated. All we ask is that pets are kept inside or away from the treated area until it dries (about 30 minutes).

Pricing & Payment

Transparent pricing with no hidden fees

Starting at just $70 per treatment, applied every 21 days.
Pricing is based on your property size and layout. Most residential properties in Oakland County fall in the $70–$120 range per treatment. We offer a flea & tick add-on for just $10 per half acre — great for families with pets or kids who play outside. We'll provide an exact quote after a quick assessment of your yard.

Starting at $125 per treatment, applied bi-monthly (every 2 months).
General prevention creates a perimeter barrier around your home that keeps spiders, ants, centipedes, wasps, hornets, and other crawling pests from entering. Price depends on your home's foundation perimeter and property complexity. Contact us for a personalized quote.

Treatment starts at $125. Nest removal is an additional $50 minimum.
Wasp and hornet treatment is a two-phase process: first we treat the nest with specialized products, then after a 48-hour waiting period, we can return for physical nest removal if desired. Treatment pricing may vary based on the nest's location (eaves, underground, wall voids) and accessibility. The removal fee starts at $50 and may be higher for complex or hard-to-reach nests.

Absolutely! We provide free, no-obligation estimates for all of our services. In many cases, we can give you an accurate quote over the phone or via text based on a few quick questions about your property. For larger or more complex properties, we're happy to schedule a brief in-person assessment.

We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, cash, and check. Payment is due at the time of service. We send invoices via text or email for your convenience — simple and hassle-free.

Never. The price we quote is the price you pay. There are no trip charges, no service fees, no fuel surcharges, and no surprise add-ons. We believe in complete transparency — you'll always know exactly what you're paying for before we begin any work.

Mosquito Control

How our mosquito treatment works and what to expect

Our mosquito treatment is a two-pronged approach. First, we apply a barrier spray to the areas where mosquitoes rest during the day — the undersides of leaves, shrubs, tree lines, under decks, and around shaded structures. This creates a residual barrier that kills mosquitoes on contact for weeks. Second, we apply larvicide to any standing water sources on your property (birdbaths, drainage areas, low spots) to stop the next generation before they hatch.

The 21-day cycle is scientifically designed to break the mosquito breeding cycle.
Mosquitoes go from egg to biting adult in roughly 10–14 days. By treating every 21 days, we ensure there's never a gap in coverage that allows a new generation to establish. Monthly treatments (every 30 days) leave a 1–2 week window where populations can rebound. The 21-day cycle is the gold standard in professional mosquito control.

In Southeast Michigan, mosquito season typically runs from late May through September/October, depending on weather. We recommend starting treatments early in the season to prevent populations from ever establishing on your property. Most customers begin in late May or early June and continue through the first frost.

Great question! Our barrier treatment is designed to handle this. Mosquitoes that drift into your yard from neighboring properties will come into contact with the treated vegetation and die. While we can't control your neighbors' yards, our customers consistently report a dramatic reduction (85–90%+) in mosquito activity within their treated area. Many of our customers are referred by their neighbors because they notice the difference!

Michigan mosquitoes can carry several serious diseases, including West Nile Virus (WNV) and Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE). Both have been confirmed in Michigan counties. While the risk of infection is low for any individual bite, professional mosquito control significantly reduces your family's overall exposure — especially important for young children, elderly family members, and anyone with compromised immune systems.

Yes! We offer a flea & tick add-on for just $10 per half acre. It's applied during the same visit as your mosquito treatment and targets fleas and ticks in your grass, mulch beds, and wooded edges. This is especially popular with families who have dogs or who live near wooded areas.

Wasp & Hornet Removal

Nest treatment, removal process, and what to expect

We use a two-phase approach for safe, effective results. Phase 1 (Treatment): We apply professional-grade products directly into the nest and surrounding area. This eliminates the colony over the next 24–48 hours. Phase 2 (Removal): After a mandatory 48-hour waiting period, we return to physically remove the nest if desired. The waiting period ensures all returning forager wasps have also been eliminated, making removal safe.

The 48-hour wait ensures all wasps — including ones away from the nest — are eliminated.
At any given time, a significant portion of a colony's wasps are out foraging for food. If we removed the nest immediately, these returning wasps would still be alive, agitated, and looking for their home — which actually makes the situation more dangerous. The 2-day waiting period ensures every member of the colony has returned to the treated nest and been eliminated before removal.

We treat all common species found in Oakland County, including: Paper Wasps (open, umbrella-shaped nests under eaves and overhangs), Yellow Jackets (often nest underground or in wall voids — very aggressive), Bald-Faced Hornets (large gray papery nests, usually in trees or on structures), and European Hornets (the largest species in Michigan, often found in wall voids and hollow trees).

Yes. Yellow jackets and European hornets commonly build nests inside wall voids, soffits, and other enclosed spaces. We have specialized equipment designed to treat nests in these hard-to-reach areas without damaging your home's exterior. Wall void treatments may require a slightly different approach and pricing, which we'll discuss during your consultation.

Treatment alone is sufficient to eliminate the colony. Nest removal is optional and is available as a separate service (starting at $50). Some customers prefer removal for aesthetic reasons or to prevent other insects from inhabiting the empty nest. However, once treated, the nest is completely inactive and poses no danger — wasps will not reuse a treated nest.

We strongly advise against DIY wasp nest removal. Wasps and hornets become highly aggressive when their nest is disturbed, and a single yellow jacket or hornet can sting multiple times. For people with allergies, stings can be life-threatening. Store-bought sprays often fail to penetrate the entire nest, leaving angry survivors. Professional treatment is safer, more effective, and — when you factor in the cost of sprays and potential ER visits — more affordable than you might think.

Safety & Products

What we use, how it works, and keeping your family safe

Yes — safe for kids, pets, and the whole family after a 30-minute drying period.
All of our products are EPA-registered and specifically formulated for residential use. Once the treatment dries (approximately 30 minutes), treated areas are safe for children, pets, and adults. We recommend keeping pets inside and off the lawn during application and until drying is complete. Many of our customers are families with young children and dogs — safety is always our top priority.

Yes! We offer all-natural treatment options for customers who prefer them. Our natural products use plant-based active ingredients that effectively repel and reduce mosquito populations without synthetic chemicals. Natural treatments may require slightly more frequent applications for maximum effectiveness, but they're an excellent option for families who want to minimize chemical exposure. Just let us know your preference when scheduling.

Treatments typically dry within approximately 30 minutes, depending on weather conditions (humidity, temperature, sun exposure). Once dry, the treated area is safe for normal activity. We'll always let you know when it's clear to resume outdoor activities.

We take pollinator safety seriously. Our treatments are applied to resting areas where mosquitoes harbor — like the undersides of leaves and shaded vegetation — not to flowers or blooming plants where bees feed. We also time applications to avoid peak pollinator activity hours. If you have beehives on or near your property, let us know and we'll take extra precautions to protect them.

We recommend that anyone undergoing chemotherapy or with a compromised immune system stay indoors during application and for at least 2–3 hours afterward as an extra precaution. Our products are EPA-registered and safe for residential use once dry, but immune-compromised individuals may benefit from additional caution. Ironically, mosquito control is especially important for chemo patients, since their weakened immune systems make mosquito-borne illnesses more dangerous. Please discuss your specific situation with your oncologist, and let us know — we're happy to accommodate special needs.

No. Our products are water-based and clear, so they won't stain surfaces, siding, decking, or outdoor furniture. However, we recommend covering or moving any food, pet dishes, or children's toys from the treatment area before application as a standard precaution.

Scheduling & Guarantees

Booking, rain policies, and our satisfaction guarantee

We typically respond to inquiries within 2 hours during business hours and can often schedule your first treatment within a few days. During peak season (June–August), we recommend booking as early as possible, but we always do our best to accommodate urgent situations quickly — especially wasp and hornet calls.

Rain or shine guarantee: If it rains before the 30-minute drying period, we re-treat for FREE.
Our products are designed to be rain-resistant once dry. If rain occurs before the product has had its 30-minute drying time, we'll come back and re-treat your yard at no additional charge. If it rains after the drying period, your treatment remains fully effective. We also monitor weather forecasts and will reschedule proactively when heavy rain is expected.

Free re-treatments between scheduled visits if pests return.
If you notice increased pest activity between your regularly scheduled visits, just give us a call. We'll come back and re-treat your property at no extra charge. This is part of our satisfaction guarantee — we don't consider the job done until you're happy with the results.

We can treat in light drizzle, but we'll reschedule for heavy rain or storms to ensure treatment effectiveness. We proactively monitor the forecast and will contact you if we need to move your appointment. Our goal is always to apply treatments in conditions that maximize their effectiveness and longevity.

Absolutely. Since there are no contracts, you're free to skip treatments, take a break, or stop service at any time. Just let us know and we'll adjust your schedule. Keep in mind that skipping treatments during mosquito season can allow populations to re-establish, so we recommend consistent coverage for the best results — but ultimately, it's your call.

We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee on all of our services. If you're not happy with the results of any treatment, contact us and we'll make it right — whether that means a complimentary re-treatment or working with you to find a better solution. We also guarantee free re-treatments between scheduled visits if pests return, and a free re-spray if rain interrupts the drying period. Your satisfaction is our top priority, period.
